When your Professional Fire Fighters of Sonoma County put their gear on the fire truck each morning, they do so with the safety of our county’s residents on their mind. Everything we do supports our mission of serving our community and keeping our neighbors safe.
The Professional Fire Fighters of Sonoma County Local 1401 protect the city of Santa Rosa, the Sonoma County Fire District, the Rancho Adobe Fire Protection District, and the Goldridge Fire Protection District.
When you call 911, the members of Professional Fire Fighters of Sonoma County, Local 1401 will always respond. You deserve excellence. We provide it.

Stevie Nicks Thanks Santa Rosa Firefighters
At the recent FireAid benefit concert in Los Angeles, legendary singer-songwriter Stevie Nicks expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the Santa Rosa Fire Department for their courageous efforts in saving her Pacific Palisades home during the Palisades Fire. Nicks, who had to evacuate during the fire, credited Santa Rosa firefighters for their relentless dedication in protecting not only her residence but also the surrounding community.
Schell-Vista Fire Protection District Expands Team with Measure H Funding
The Schell-Vista Fire Protection District is thrilled to welcome three new full-time firefighters: Mickey Breen, 54; George Norton, 30; and Jayden Filippi, 21. This historic expansion is made possible through funding from Sonoma County’s Measure H, a half-cent sales tax approved by voters in March 2024 to enhance fire prevention, protection, and emergency services countywide.
